Growing in my garden

There is something satisfying and mindful about growing flowers. In my small garden I love watching them grow from tiny seeds to become a rainbow of colours.

All my home grown flowers, grasses and seeds pods are grown and naturally dried in my home studio. Flowers are gathered and hung in bunches to dry. I use this traditional way of drying as it uses no chemicals or artificial treatments.

Some flowers retain their shape, texture and colour while others change their shapes but are still unique and beautiful.

Strawflowers are my favourite to grow and dry, they keep their colours so well. It was one of the flowers I was taught to grow and dry as a kid. They are a staple in my work and their durability and vibrancy make them ideal for many everlasting arrangements.

When my flowers are fully dried, each one is thoughtfully selected and arranged into different arrangements by hand. My wreaths are designed with texture and colour in mind, no two wreath arrangements are the same, they celebrate the natural beauty of dried flowers.

Looking ahead to my next growing season, my aim is to increase the number of my flowers grown. My long-term goal is for every arrangement to be made from all my own dried flowers or those grown by other British flower growers.

From seed to a finished arrangement each step is done with care and love.
